Former MLA Peter Fanthome Passes Away

Lucknow, December 28 (TNA) Former member of the legislative assembly, an educationist and a prominent social worker, Peter Fanthome passed away in the wee hours of Wednesday. he was 70. He was president of the All-India Anglo-Indian Education Institution and Chairman of the Frank Anthony public school.

He was principal in St Teresa’s Day School and College and had also established and financed Audrey Fanthome Auditorium on Ashok Marg, the proceeds from which go towards the senior citizens of the Dorothy Crosswaite Homes.

He was thrice nominated member in the Legislative Assembly of UP from 1997 to 2007 in the 13th and 14th Vidhan Sabha and then again in the 16th Vidhan Sabha on the Anglo-India quota. Several eminent citizens of the state capital have mourned his demise.

His cremation will take place at 4 pm at the Electric Crematorium, Bhaisakhund, a close friend of the family informed.
