Former Ghaziabad DM Nidhi Kesarwani Suspended For Corruption

Lucknow, May 4 (TNA) Upping his ante against corruption at higher places of bureaucracy, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday ordered the suspension of former Ghaziabad district magistrate (DM) Nidhi Kesarwani. Along with this, an FIR has been registered against her and orders have been given to take strict action.

Since Nidhi Kesarwani is posted in the Central Government, orders have been given to refer the matter to the Government of India for initiating departmental proceedings. The officer is accused that during their posting in Ghaziabad, she indulged in irregularities in land acquisition and benefitting their relatives by getting them land on the Meerut-Delhi Peripheral Eastern Expressway.

Kesrawani, a 2004 batch IAS is currently on central deputation. Yogi has also ordered suspension of two officers of the Niyukti department who sat on the files of these two bureaucrats.
