Former College Principal, Son Arrested In Agra For Stealing Luggage From Trains, Stolen Items Worth Rs 12 Lakh Recovered

Agra, January 23 (TNA) GRP and RPF have arrested the father-son duo who stole from trains in Agra. The accused has been Principal at an Inter College. Earlier, he had gone to jail for demanding a ransom of Rs 1 crore. Goods worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered from him.

The stolen luggage was so much that GRP and RPF had to hold a press conference on the platform.

SP GRP Mohammad Mushtaq informed that Agra Fort GRP has arrested two thieves who were involved in stealing luggage from trains. The father and son have been identified as Naresh Chandra and his son Aryan are residents of Samrat Nagar, Firozabad.

During interrogation, Naresh told that he was a lecturer at SAV Inter College in Bharthana, Etawah. Later he became the Principal in the same college. In the year 2012, he was suspended in the scholarship scam. After this, in 2017, he was dismissed from the job.

Police have recovered about 97 grams of gold and 475 grams of silver jewellery, two laptops, 112 trolley bags, more than a dozen purses and bags and clothes from the accused. The estimated cost of all the accessories is around Rs 12 lakh.
