For The Second Consecutive Day, CBI Continues Probe Into The Mysterious Death Of Narendra Giri
Prayagraj, Sep 26 (TNA) The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) continued its probe for the second day into the mysterious death of the former Akhada Parishad chief Mahant Narendra Giri. The probe team reached the Baghambari Mutt on Sunday and clicked pictures from various angles and tried to recreate the events on the fateful day when the seer was found hanging in his room.
A team of forensic experts, also from the premiere investigative agency, collected evidence. The CBI team is being led by joint director Viplav Chaudhary. Following the death of the seer, the Prayagraj police had constituted an 18-member Special Investigation Team (SIT). The matter was however referred to the CBI for a probe, following demands from various Hindu groups, organisations and political parties.
