Following Complaint By BJP MP, Pramod Tiwari-Aradhana Misra ‘Mona’ Booked
Pratapgarh, Sep 25 (TNA) Following a murderous attack on BJP MP Sangam Lal Gupta at an event in Pratapgarh earlier in the day which was preceded by a scuffle between workers and supporters of the BJP and Congress, the Police has lodged an FIR against veteran Congress leader Pramod Tiwari and his daughter-Rampur Khas legislator Aradhana Misra ‘Mona’.
Based on the complaint lodged by the ruling party lawmaker, the police has named Pramod Tiwari, Mona Mishra, Babloo Singh, Shekhar Nevada, Prabhat Ojha, Chandra Shekhar Singh and 21 others and has also booked fifty unknown persons for rioting. The FIR has been signed by Kamlesh Kumar Pal, the inspector.
Meanwhile Sangam Lal Gupta has begun a sit-in on the national highway, demanding immediate arrest of Mona Mishra and Pramod Tiwari. Deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya is also learnt to be going to Pratapgarh on Sunday to meet Gupta and take stock of the situation.
