Flipkart Donates 30 Critical Care Ventilators To Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Lauds Gesture

Lucknow, July 03 (TNA) Indian e-commerce giant Flipkart on Saturday provided 30 critical care ventilators at his official residence in the state capital on Saturday. These ventilators have been given to Uttar Pradesh Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (UPMSCL). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in turn lauded Flipkart for engaging with the citizens of Uttar Pradesh in times of crisis and need.

He said that these ventilators, along with making the health system of the state better and stronger, would help in providing critical care to needy patients at the right time. In the initial period of Corona, there was a problem with PPE kits and N-95 masks, which Flipkart also helped in finding a solution to.

In this way, Flipkart also cooperated in providing essential things for Corona Warriors and Health Workers, the chief minister added and pointed out how Flipkart has also worked successfully in expanding the supply chain of products and marketing them under 'One District, One Product (ODOP).

Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart, Rajnish Kumar through video conferencing assured the UP government that that Flipkart is committed from time to time to provide resources for COVID relief work and to support the in the ongoing fight against this pandemic. He expressed hope that these ICU ventilators would help the state government in its fight against Covid.

Kumar further said that through technology and e-commerce, Flipkart is working fast to provide market to small entrepreneurs and increase their income. By joining MSMEs, Flipkart has strengthened the supply chain. Employment opportunities have been created.

Along with this, it has also helped in increasing the income through exports. He assured that in the future also, Flipkart and its team will continue to provide support to the government on issues related to public concern including health.
