Five Top IPS Officers Transferred In UP, Prashant Kumar Gets More Muscle

Lucknow, March 31 (TNA) Five Indian Police Service (IPS) officials were transferred by the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday. These top cops include Prashant Kumar, a 1990 batch firebrand IPS officer who is the incumbent ADG Law and Order and has now been made Special DG Law and Order.

Along with Special DG LO, he will also take charge of crime. Additional charge of EOW will also be with IPS Prashant Kumar. DG CB-CID Vijay Kumar, a 1988 batch IPS officer, has been given the additional charge of Director Vigilance along with CBCID. 1988 batch IPS and DG jail Anand Kumar has now been made DG cooperative cell.

1990 batch IPS officer, DG UP Power Corporation SN Sabat will now be DG Prisons and he has been replaced by 1990 batch IPS officer and ADG Crime MK Bashaal.
