First Paid AC Waiting Hall Inauguration At Prayagraj Railway Station

Prayagraj, July 29 (TNA) In its continued efforts on providing more facilities to passengers, the NCR opened the first paid air-conditioned waiting hall at the junction. An additional fee of Rs 10 will have to be paid for sitting in the AC waiting hall. Passengers traveling in any class can sit in it, but for this passengers will have to pay a fee of Rs 10 per hour.

Public Relations Officer of Prayagraj Division Amit Singh informed that this waiting hall is being operated by a private agency. It will also provide additional facilities to the passengers and a fee will be charged for the same. The PRO further pointed out that there will be no fee for children up to 5 years of age in this waiting hall.

The Paid AC waiting hall was inaugurated by Master Kanak Soni, a 13 year old boy traveling from Prayagraj to Atarra. Catering facility is also available in the waiting hall on payment basis. Food stalls have also been set up here where water and eatables can be bought at reasonable prices. Photos of historical places of the holy town of Sangam have also been displayed inside the waiting hall.
