Fire At Second Floor Of Allahabad Bank Buiding In Lucknow’s Hazratganj

Lucknow, April 8 (TNA) A fire broke out on Friday afternoon on the second floor of Allahabad Bank premises, located at Hazratganj intersection. Firefighters brought the fire under control after an hour's effort. Many essential documents kept in the bank were gutted by the time the fire was doused.

Seeing the flames and smoke coming out of the second floor on the back side of Allahabad Bank at Hazratganj intersection, the employees raised an alarm in the afternoon. The workers first tried to douse the fire by throwing water but once the fire got out of control, FSO Ram Kumar Rawat, CFO Vijay Kumar Singh and other fire brigade personnel arrived from Hazratganj fire station with fire tenders and began the operation to put off the fire.

Meanwhile, fire also broke out in the transformer located in the neighbourhood, promoting cutting off the power supply in the area. The CFO said that the cause of the fire is being investigated. The fire probably started due to short circuit.
