FIR Against Amitabh Thakur, Wife Nutan For Assaulting Cops And Obstructing Government Work

Lucknow, August 28 (TNA) A day after he was unceremoniously dragged out of his house by the police and arrested for abetting suicide of a rape victim, former IPS officer Amitabh Thakur had another FIR slapped on him. This time, his wife Nutan Thakur has also been named in the FIR on charges of assaulting police officials and obstructing government work.

In a video grab showing the former IPS being dragged out from his house by a groups shows Thakur assaulting a cop who was trying to tell him to sit in the police vehicle. Thakur can be seen throwing his hands here and there and a slap landed on the face of a cop trying to shove him in the vehicle.

The FIR was lodged after a complaint by a sub-inspector posted at Gomtinagar police station, Dhananjay Singh accused the former office of assaulting him.

Activist Nutan Thakur can also be heard in the video of the arrest shouting at the policemen, accusing hem of manhandling her husband. She can also be heard asking them if the husband is not even allowed to wear his slippers.
