Prayagraj, August 3 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court will give its verdict on Thursday on the petition of the Muslim side against the ASI survey of Varanasi's famous Gyanvapi. Hindu and Muslim parties have presented their arguments during the hearing in the Allahabad High Court on the instructions of the Supreme Court. After a hearing that lasted for three days, the High Court, while reserving its judgment on July 27, ordered the stay on the survey to continue.

A single bench of High Court Chief Justice Pritinkar Diwakar is hearing the matter. On July 21, the court of Varanasi District Judge Dr. Ajay Krishna Vishwesh had ordered a survey by the ASI of the rest of the parts except the sealed warehouse in the Gyanvapi campus. The survey report was to be presented in the district judge's court by August 4. This was complied with and the ASI team started the survey from 24th July itself. The Anjuman Intejamia Masjid Committee approached the Supreme Court on the afternoon of 24 July regarding this matter.

After the hearing, the apex court had stayed the survey till 5 pm on July 26 and advised the Anjuman Intejamia Committee to go to the Allahabad High Court. After hearing the matter for three days, the Allahabad High Court has fixed August 3 as the date for pronouncing the order while upholding the Supreme Court's order to stay the survey.
