Explosion At Chemical Factory In Hapur Kills Nine, Twenty Injured
Hapur, June 4 (TNA) A boiler exploded at a chemical factory in Dhaulana UPSIDC area of Hapur in UP on Saturday, killing nine labourers and injuring more than two dozen, police said. The mishap happened at Ruhi Industries. In view of the condition of the injured the death toll is likely to go up, an official said.
Relief and rescue work is going on at the spot. The bodies of the laborers who died in the accident were badly burnt, some beyond recognition. Work is on to rescue other people trapped in the factory. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the loss of lives.
