Eminent Lawyer And Secretary Of Muslim Personal Law Board Zafaryab Jilani Passes Away

Lucknow, May 16 (TNA) Eminent lawyer and secretary of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) Zafaryab Jilani passed away in the state capital on Wednesday. He was also the convenor of the Babri Masjid Action Committee. Jilani has been the Additional Advocate General of UP. He was 73.

He had been unwell for a long time and was undergoing treatment at Nishat Hospital in Lalbagh. He was very proactive in Muslim matters and was lawyer for the Muslim side in the Ayodhya-Babri dispute. Apart from this, he was the chairman of Babri Masjid Action Committee
