Lucknow, April 10 (TNA) To get rid of traffic jam on Ayodhya Road, preparations have been intensified to build an elevated road from Polytechnic round about to Indira Canal. For this, LDA has almost completed the feasibility survey. According to this, there are large-scale illegal encroachments at many places on the elevated route.

These encroachments will be demolished before construction. According to the information, LDA will prepare a complete report by marking all the points on the designated route in the next two months.

NHAI has handed over the part of Ayodhya Road up to Indira Canal to the Public Works Department for maintenance. In such a situation, preparations are being made to hand over the responsibility of building the elevated road to Setu Nigam.

According to the master plan of Ayodhya Road, the width of the road from Polytechnic to Indira Canal is about 40 meters. Beyond this, the road is 60 to 70 meters wide at some places. The width of the road around Anaura Kala village is said to be around 100 meters. According to sources, encroachment has also taken place at many such points.

The elevated road to be built from Polytechnic to Indira Canal will be 8 to 10 km long. LDA officials say that the court has given two more months in this matter. By then its DPR will be prepared, he further informed.
