ED Raids In Mumbai Reveal Flats Worth Crores Purchased By SP Leader Gayatri Prajapati In Name Of Sons, Daughter-in-Laws

Lucknow, January 16 (TNA) Raids by the Enforcement Directorate have revealed that the son and daughter-in-law of former UP minister and senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Gayatri Prajapati have six flats in their names. These flats were purchased by Gayatri in the name of her sons Anurag Prajapati, Anil Prajapati and daughters-in-law Shilpa and Pooja.

The price of each flat ranges from two to three crore rupees, most of which was paid in cash. On Monday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) team raided three locations in Mumbai of the then minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, accused in the mining scam carried out in the SP government. During this time, evidence was found that Gayatri had purchased six flats in the name of her sons and daughters-in-law with the scam money. ED is preparing to seize all these properties soon.

A five-member team of ED's zonal office in the capital went to Mumbai on Monday and raided the properties purchased in the name of Gayatri's family. During this time, officials of ED, Mumbai were also included in the team. When the team raided the flat of a residential building built by Crescent Amity Private Limited in Malad area of Mumbai, documents of many other properties were also recovered there.

Among these, information was received about three other flats in Crescent Building and two luxurious flats built by Balaji Corporation in Borivali area. According to ED officials, these flats worth around Rs 15 crore will be confiscated. Before this, Gayatri's sons and daughters-in-law will be summoned and interrogated. It will be found out from where he raised the money to buy these expensive flats.
