During Vehicle Checking, Car Runs Over Police Sub-inspector In Bareilly

Bareilly, Nov 29 (TNA) Sub-Inspector Sanjay Singh of Bareilly's Bhojipura police station who was out on a patrol duty in a government jeep on Monday night was run over by a speeding Bolero when the cop tried to stop it for checking. The inspector died late night at the medical facility while being treated.

The incident happened during checking near the Bahgul river bridge on the Nainital highway. The car hit him and fled the crime scene. and left. Police is looking for the Bolero and many exit points and roads have been sealed for the purpose.

Sanjay Singh was originally a resident of Bulandshahr district, was posted at Bhojipura police station on 17 November itself.
