DRI Arrests 3 In UP For Alleged Smuggling Of Foreign Marked Gold Worth Rs 2.46 Crore In UP

Lucknow, July 2 (TNA) The directorate of revenue intelligence has arrested three men, including a jeweler of Prayagraj in alleged smuggling of foreign marked gold worth Rs 2.46 crore.

The five gold bars each weighing one kg had markings of Rand refinery (South Africa) and Australian refinery. Among three accused, two gold carriers were caught from Agra-Lucknow expressway after their vehicle was waylaid while they were heading to Prayagraj. Hours later on the input revealed by the apprehended duo, the jeweler was arrested.
