Dreaded Robber With Rs 25000 Bounty Arrested In Varanasi After Police Encounter, Injured
Varanasi, August 2 (TNA) Police arrested 25 thousand prize money criminal Vishal Kumar Prajapati, who carried out incidents of robbery, theft and snatching, in an encounter. A joint team of Lanka and Dashaswamedh caught him from the Dafi Toll Plaza Highway Underpass of Lanka police station area on Friday night. A 315 bore pistol, 3 cartridges, and 6700 rupees were recovered from his possession.
Vishal, a resident of Kanshiram Awas in Shivpur, injured by a bullet in the left leg, has been admitted to the hospital. DCP Crime Sarvanan T said that during the investigation of the incident with the professor in BHU, the police received information that the accused of robbery and theft, and 25 thousand prize money criminal Vishal Prajapati, is planning to carry out an incident on the highway.
Acting on this information, a joint team of Dashaswamedh police station in-charge VK Shukla and Lanka police station in-charge Rajkumar Sharma surrounded him. ACP Dashaswamedh Atul Anjan Tripathi said that the accused Vishal has 8 cases of theft, robbery, and gangsterism registered against him in various police stations. Recently, he has been involved in incidents of theft with tourists in the Dashaswamedh area. A reward of 25 thousand was also announced.
