Dreaded Gangster Arrested After Police Encounter In Agra

Agra, Nov 1 (TNA) A dreaded criminal was injured and arrested in a gun battle with the Agra police on Monday morning. He has been identified as Amit Bawaria, who carried a cash prize of Rs 20,000 on his head. He is the leader of the Omveer gang, notorious for many crimes in the Agra region.

Many robbery and dacoity cases are registered against Amit Bawaria. The police have admitted the injured miscreant to the district hospital for treatment. Police have recovered a car and a pistol from the spot. At present, the police is engaged in interrogating the miscreant.

The encounter took place near Pohiya Ghat in New Agra area. According to the information, miscreant Amit Bavaria was absconding for the last two years in the Gangster Act case from Achhnera police station in Agra.
