Dreaded Criminal Arrested After Encounter With Police In Bahraich

Bahraich, April 23 (TNA) A joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) and Motipur Police arrested a crook with a reward of Rs 50,000 near Raibojha Tiraha along with his partner after an encounter. He was sent to jail after registering a new case under sections of firing with the intention of a deadly attack on the police team and possessing illegal weapons.

Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar Chaudhary had constituted a team under the direction of Additional Superintendent of Police, Rural Ashok Kumar and Circle Officer Mihinpurwa Jangbahadur Yadav for the arrest of criminal Damru alias Ramamurthy.

ASP Ashok Kumar said that information was received from the informer that 35-year-old Damru Raibojha, who carried out the robbery on Jarhi Road, was trying to carry out a big incident with his partner. On this, the joint team of STF and Motipur stopped two persons on foot from the side of the railway station, then they turned back and started running.

One 315 bore pistol, live cartridges and blank cartridges were recovered from Damru's possession and one pistol and one cartridge were also recovered from Mukesh Chauhan. Police was looking for Damru in many crimes including gangster act, robbery. Dozens of cases are registered against him in Sitapur, Lakhimpur and Bahraich.
