Double-decker Bus Turtles On Highway In Sant Kabir Nagar, One Killed

Sant Kabir Nagar, December 30 (TNA) An uncontrolled double-decker private bus overturned on highway after the vehicle hit the divider. One passenger was killed and 40 were injured. The bus was going from Ludhiana to Purnia. There were 142 passengers in the bus.

The bus had reached near Raina Paper Mill on the national highway when due to high speed, the bus overturned after colliding with the divider.

On information, police and NHAI members reached the spot. With the help of local people, the police sent the injured to the district hospital by ambulance. Due to the arrival of the injured in large numbers, an atmosphere of panic prevailed in the hospital.
