Don-turned-Politician Atique Ahmed Being Brought From Ahmedabad To Prayagraj By Road

Ahmedabad, March 26 (TNA) Dread mafia don and former lawmaker Atique Ahmed was taken into custody by the Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday evening as he was handed over to them at the Sabarmati jail in Ahmedabad. he is now being brought to Prayagraj by road. He will cover the next 1300 plus km between the two cities in the next 36-hours.

Heavy security arrangements have been made to escort him on his journey that will end in Prayagraj where he will be produced in the MP-MLA court on March 28. He is the prime accused in the Umesh Pal murder case which jolted the entire political and law enforcing system in the state in February.

One IPS officer, 3 DSP’s and 40 personnel are keeping guard of him as he is being brought to Prayagraj, a city where his writ ran large only a few years ago.
