Decision On Mohd Azam Khan’s Bail Plea In Enemy Property Possession Case Reserved

Prayagraj, Dec 5 (TNA) The Allahabad High Court on Saturday reserved its verdict on the bail application of Samajwadi MP Mohd Azam Khan. During this, the lawyers of Azam Khan and the public prosecutor gave arguments. The court is expected to give its verdict next week. The matter is being heard by a bench of Justice Rahul Chaturvedi.

However, even if they get bail, they will not be able to come out of jail. Because many other cases are also going on against Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur Jail. According to this case, Azam is alleged to have occupied enemy property since 2019. A case was registered against him for this.

Azam Khan is in Sitapur jail for almost 10 months. His wife and MLA Dr. Tazin Fatma has also been in jail for 10 months. Although Azam Khan has got bail in 81 cases. Even after this he is not able to be released. At present 85 cases are pending against him in the courts. Of these, bail has not yet been granted in 4 cases.

Many cases were registered against Azam in the year 2019. During the Lok Sabha elections, 15 cases were written for violating the code of conduct and making inflammatory speeches. Later 30 cases were registered for possession of land for Jauhar University.
