Death Toll In Bhadohi Durga Puja Pandaal Fire Mishap Rises To Three, Many Remain Critical

Lucknow, Oct 3 (TNA) The death toll in the fire mishap at a Durga Puja pandal in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi on Sunday rose to three on Monday morning, an official said. The deceased include a 12-year-old boy, a 45-year-old woman and a 10-year-old boy, District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi informed.

A total of 42 people were injured in a fire at Durga Puja pandal under Aurai Police Station area. Nine people have been admitted at a local hospital, while 33 others with serious burn injuries were referred to a hospital in nearby Varanasi.

The incident had occurred around 9.30 pm when an aarti was being performed.
