Death Dance Of Dengue Continues, Five In Prayagraj Die On Sunday

Prayagraj, Oct 31 (TNA) The death dance of the dreaded dengue continues in most aprts of Uttar Pradesh, with at least nine deaths reported from Prayagraj, Pratapgarh and Kaushambi districts alone. According to information, on Sunday nine people perished to the dengue.

Of these five were from Prayagraraj alone and of them two were students of the Allahabad University. Both the students - Abhishek Kumar Patel and Ankit Kushwaha were graduate students of Allahabad University.

Abhishek was being treated at Medanta Hospital and Ankit was being treated at a private hospital in the city. While officials maintain a studied silence at the growing meance of dengue and claim that things were under control, situation on the ground paints a completely different and horrifying picture.

A resident of Prayagraj told TNA that while more and more people were suffering from Dengue, neither the preventive measures nor treatment facilities were enough to cope with the magnitude of the problem.
