Criminal Who Raped And Murdered A Girl Shot Dead In Police Encounter In Farukkhabad

Farukkhabad, July 18 (TNA) A middle-aged criminal, accused of raping and murdering a girl, was killed in a un battle with the local police in the wee hours of Friday. The deceased criminal was carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head. The police was on a lookout for him for several days. The girl from Kaimganj police station area had gone to Mohammadabad police station area to visit relatives.

From there, the girl was kidnapped on the morning of 27 June. She was raped and then murdered. On the morning of 28 June, the body of the girl was found near village Devipur in Bhogaon police station area of Mainpuri district. In this incident, 55-year-old middle aged Manu, resident of village Pakhna, has been made the accused.

Superintendent of Police Arti Singh had announced a bounty of Rs. 25,000 on Manu. After that, the reward of Rs. 25,000 announced on the accused by Deputy Inspector General of Police Harish Chander has been doubled.

Late night, when the police surrounded the accused middle aged man, the accused opened fire on the police. In the retaliatory action of the police, the middle aged man was shot and he was seriously injured. He was brought to Lohia Hospital. Here the accused was declared dead.
