Criminal Carrying A Reward Of Rs One Lakh Killed In Police Encounter In Jaunpur

Jaunpur, March 5 (TNA) A member of the D-63 gang carrying a reward of Rs one lakh over his head was killed in a police encounter in Jaunpur late on Friday night, police said. Another miscreants managed to escape and the police is on a lookout for him. Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Sahni and CO Shahganj Ankit Kumar also reached the spot.

An encounter took place in Gairwah of Sarpatahan police station area. The deceased has been identified as Satish Singh Prince. Two policemen were also injured during the shootout. Police have recovered one AK-47, 9 mm pistol and a huge quantity of cartridges and motorcycle from the spot.
