Covid Spike In UP: Five Die In Past 24 Hours, 165 New Patients Found In Lucknow

Lucknow, April 21 (TNA) Covid infections in the state of Uttar Pradesh have started showing a scary growth ove the past week. According to government data available, five patients of Coronavirus died in the last 24-hours. Of these there were one death each in Ghaziabad, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Sitapur and Ghazipur.

A total of 165 positive cases have come in Lucknow in last one day taking the total number of active Covid cases to 1082. The Health Department said in its report from 6 am on April 19 to 6 am on April 20 that a total of 840 Covid positive cases were found in the state. The current total number of positive cases has gone up to 4478.

At the same time, 128 people defeated the virus. With this, the number of active cases has increased to 1064 in the district. CMO Dr. Manoj Aggarwal said that on Thursday maximum number of 24-24 cases were found in Alambagh-Chinhat area.

22 infected have been found in Aliganj, 18-18 in Naval Kishore Road and Sarojininagar, 12 in Indiranagar, 11 in Silver Jubilee, 8 in Gosainganj, 6 in Aishbagh, 5 in Tudiaganj and other places.
