COVID Claims Five Young Doctors In UP, Medical Fraternity In Shock

Lucknow, May 4 (TNA) Five young doctors fell prey to the deadly second wave of the Coronavirus, in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. The brave warriors were in service of their patients and in due course had contracted the deadly virus which ultimately claimed them.

The doctors who succumbed to COVID on Tuesday include Dr Swati of the 2006 batch of the LLRM Medical College, Meerut. She was working in the Saharanpur district hospital. Dr Anand Kumar Tandon, senior orthopaedic surgeon who was posted at the Sitapur district hospital passed away on Tuesday after battling COVID.

Dr Divya Gupta, 2013 MBBS batch of KGMU, Lucknow also passed away on Tuesday and so did Dr Bharat Arora, of the Moti Lal Nehru Medical College, Prayagraj. Colleagues and senior of the medical fraternity paid their tributes to these brave warriors who laid down their lives in line of duty.

The News Agency condoles the passing away of such young warriors who didn't care for their personal safety for a larger role to save patients.
