Covid Cases Surge In UP: 4228 New Cases In one Day, Noida At Top With 721

Lucknow, January 7 (TNA) Uttar Pradesh recorded a surge in Covid cases on Friday, with 4228 fresh cases in the last 24-hours, an official said. Maximum cases logged were from Noida (721), followed by Ghaziabad (607) and the state capital Lucknow recorded 577 cases.

Four people were discharged also on Friday. Meerut has also witnessed a spike with 411 new cases of Covid.

Varanasi, the parliamentary constituency of prime minister Narendra Modi reported 224 cases, Agra 169, Moradabad 157 and Prayagraj 104. Kanpur city reported 91 fresh cases while Saharanpur reported a total of 80 new cases. Muzaffarnagar logged 91 cases, Gorakhpur 71 and Aligarh 85.
