Consider Industrialists As Friends Of The State, Provide Hassle-free Processes To Invest: Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’

Lucknow, November 25 (TNA) Minister of Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI, Investment Promotion Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ on Saturday directed officials of the departments to consider industrialists “friends of the state” and accordingly provide them facilities as per laid down guidelines. He was speaking at the review meeting of Udyami Mitra Program at Yojana Bhawan in the state capital.

In this meeting, senior officials, including the IIDC Manoj Kumar Singh, Abhishek Prakash (IAS), CEO, Invest UP, along with 105 entrepreneurs from across the state were present. The main objective of this meeting, an official informed, was to review all the MOUs under which Udyog Mitras have been appointed in each district.

The main agenda of this meeting was to discuss appointment of Udyog Mitras, providing support system to the appointed Udyog Mitras, functioning and performance of Udyog Mitras, along with detailed discussion on district-wise GBC. The Industry Minister discussed the working methodology of the entrepreneur friends and gave important suggestions to increase their productivity.

Projects worth more than INR 50,000 crore have been facilitated by UMs in the last four months. Further, 4591 projects worth Rs. 3,84,219 Crore have been verified on ground by the UMs and 1147 Projects of another Rs. 74,900 Cr have been tagged for the GoUP Departments for making them final GBC ready.

He also stressed on immediate development of undeveloped industrial plots in the state and informed about the plan of the state government to exchange the lands of all those industries to make them immediately available for new dimensions, which includes the plan to acquire the land of 16 closed spinning mills in the state by repaying their outstanding loan of Rs. 1200 crores.

Gupta said that every entrepreneur is a friend of the state and added that it was for this reason that the process of setting up industries should be made simpler and hassle free for them. Under this, he stressed on getting approval from all the departments as soon as possible, and also said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, emphasis is being laid on promoting industries in Uttar Pradesh.

The minister was informed that issues pending for more than 6 months have been resolved and projects worth more than INR 50,000 crore have been facilitated by UMs in the last four months. Further, 4591 projects worth Rs. 3,84,219 Crore have been verified on ground by the UMs and 1147 Projects of another Rs. 74,900 Cr have been tagged for the GoUP Departments for making them final GBC ready.
