Chamber Of Startups Holds Its Maiden Meeting In Lucknow, Aims To Bring In Rs 1000 Crore VC Funding

Lucknow, January 24 (TNA) The first exclusive Chamber of Start-ups of India was formally launched in Lucknow on Monday, with the participation of mentors from different parts of the country and outside. Initiated by Luck-Know Start-up School, the Chamber is creating a national & global cohort of industry, venture capital firms, technology, and market experts to identify & accelerate potential start-ups, create national Brands.

“The Chamber aims to bring in INR 1000 crore vc funding in 3 years and promote Unicorns from the ‘Real UP’, Chandra Mishra, Director General of the Chamber informed. Conducted in a hybrid mode (both online and offline), the meeting was attended by mentors from different sectors like industry, venture capital firm, banking, administration, start-up policy and technology.

They include Swarup Kumar Patnaik, Vice-President, MRF, Vivek Tripathi, Director, Induckt Global VC, Divyanshu Kumar Shukla, Policy engagement partner, StartInUP, Govt of UP, Payalh Agarwwal, MD, Zolina Express, Gurugram, Badrinath Mishra, Vice- President, ONDC, Govt of India project, Rajesh Ediga, Lokveeraj Tech Solutions, Stockholm, Ritesh Raj Srivastava, Consultant, KPMG India, Ministry of Skill Development.

The Yogi Adityanath-led BJP government in the state was providing all necessary support to promote national brands and Unicorns from the state.

Joining the meeting as chief guest, retired IAS and independent director of a public sector bank Mr Diptivilasa highlighted the vast unexplored possibilities in Central and Eastern UP which could create the foundation of a strong national brand and generate massive employment opportunities.

The Chamber has already received corporate partnership offers from some firms from US, UK, Australia and other countries. While a Stockholm-based IT firm has become Technology Partner of the Chamber, a national Tea Brand has shown interest to handhold 100 tea stalls of Lucknow, and lead them from street side stalls to own cafe.
