Central Government Clears Appointment Of 10 Additional Judges Of Allahabad High Court As Permanent Judges

Prayagraj, March 3 (TNA) The government of India has cleared the appointment of 10 additional judges of the Allahabad High Court (HC) as permanent judges. As on March 1, 2023, the Allahabad High Court was functioning with a strength of 100 judges as against its sanctioned strength of 160.

The Central government on Friday notified the appointment of ten additional judges of the Allahabad High Court as permanent judges of that court. These include Justice Chandra Kumar Rai, Justice Krishan Pahal, Justice Sameer Jain, Justice Ashutosh Srivastava, Justice Subhash Vidyarthi, Justice Brij Raj Singh, Justice Shree Prakash Singh, Justice Vikas Budhwar, Justice Om Prakash Tripathi and Justice Vikram D Chauhan.

The appointment was made after the Supreme Court Collegium recommended the same on February 15, 2023. The Collegium of the Allahabad High Court had on November 23, 2022 recommended the above judges for appointment as permanent judges.
