CBSE Deputy Secretary Hangs Self In Ghaziabad Home, Was Depressed Due To Illness

Ghaziabad, May 22 (TNA) A high-ranking official of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) committed suicide in Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police said. Deputy Secretary CBSE Venkatesh Singh, who lives in Sumeru Society of Kaushambi police station area of Ghaziabad district, hung himself at his home.

Singh was apparently going through a lot of depression for some time. On information police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem. He was not even going to office for the last two months. In the suicide note found from the spot, he has not held anyone responsible. Police is probing the suicide note. ACP Indirapuram Swatantra Kumar Singh says that the suicide note has been sealed and the body has been sent for postmortem.

Venkatesh Narayan Singh was originally from Gorakhpur and lived alone in the Sumeru Society flat in Ghaziabad. In this note, he has praised his family and office people. Based on the suicide note, it is believed that he was under stress due to illness. The date of May 21 is written on the suicide note.
