CBI Begins Probing ‘Fake’ Cases Against Lawyers

Prayagraj, Sep 8 (TNA) An investigation into fake cases registered against lawyers of the Allahabad High Court (HC) has taken off. A CBI team has started the probe into alleged fake cases registered against lawyers in the district. A team of CBI is camping in the city in the course of the investigation being done on the directions of the High Court.

Along with this, documents related to a total of 46 cases have also been collected from different police stations. The Allahabad High Court had handed over the investigation of these cases to the CBI last month. Along with this, the preliminary inquiry report was ordered to be submitted within two months.
