Cart Collides With Vande Bharat Train In Meerut, Woman And Her Two Daughters Killed

Meerut, October 30 (TNA) In a tragic accident that took place in Meerut on Sunday evening, a woman and two children died after being hit by the Vande Bharat train. All three were leaving with their cart when they were hit by the train and all three died on the spot.

A woman and her two daughters died when a rickshaw collided with Vande Bharat going towards Dehradun on Sunday evening at Kasimpur gate in Kankarkheda area of Meerut. On information, police reached the spot and sent the bodies for postmortem.

Naresh, a resident of Ashokpuri, Kankarkheda, was returning home with his wife Lakshmi and two daughters. Ramesh was driving the hawker and his wife and daughter were sitting behind. After the accident, the train stopped at the spot for some time and then left towards Dehradun. Police and GRP reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

On information, teams of Sadar police station, Kankarkheda, GRP and RPF reached the spot. On receiving information about the accident near Kasampur gate, a crowd of people also ran towards the spot. The words of all three remained lying on the side of the railway track for about 2 hours.

District Magistrate Deepak Meena, SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan and SP City Piyush Singh reached the spot. Where the three officers investigated the case. District Magistrate Deepak Meena says that a team has been appointed to investigate the matter. Strict action will be taken against those who are negligent.
