Bolero Collides With Trailer In Mirzapur, Eleven Burnt Alive
Lucknow, April 23 (TNA) A tragic accident occurred in the Mirzapur district of Uttar Pradesh Wednesday night, in which 11 people lost their lives after a car collided with a trailer in the Drummondganj Ghat area, situated along the Rewa-Mirzapur Highway. Among the victims, nine occupants of a Bolero SUV were burned alive.
Additionally, Jay Prakash (26), who was traveling in a Swift car, also perished in the incident. Jay Prakash was a resident of Parsiya Dubey in Robertsganj, Sonbhadra. A cleaner (helper) of the truck involved in the collision died at the hospital while undergoing treatment. Mirzapur District Magistrate Pawan Kumar Gangwar has confirmed the death of 11 people in the accident.
According to the police, the family of Arun Singh-residents of Rampur village within the Jigna police station limits-had traveled to Maihar in the Bolero for the "mundan" (first tonsure) ceremony of their nine-year-old son, Shiv. The family was returning to Mirzapur from Maihar at the time of the accident. The Bolero was carrying Pankaj Singh, Beena, Vandana, Piyush, Priyanka, Kartikeya, and Sonam; Vishnu was driving the vehicle.
