Bodies Of Two UP Police Personnel Found Under Suspicious Circumstances In Prayagraj House

Prayagraj, April 17 (TNA) The Uttar Pradesh police department plunged into mourning and shock on Wednesday as the bodies of two police personnel were found in a room. While the lady cop was found dead on the bed, the male cop was found hanging from the ceiling fan.

A police team rushed to the crime scene, took possession of the bodies and sent them for autopsy. The police team immediately took the bodies of both of them in their custody and sent them for post-mortem. Police investigation revealed that the deceased female constable was a resident of Kanpur district.

The death of a female constable and a male constable being found under suspicious circumstances in the room of a house in the Minhajpur area of Shahganj police station on Tuesday night is a serious matter, an official said and added that all possibilities were being explored to reach to the root of the tragedy.

Prayagraj Police Commissioner Ramit Sharma said that the woman constable was a resident of Kanpur. The male constable is a resident of Mathura. The lady constable lived in a rented house. The female constable is from the 2020 batch and the male constable was from the 2019 batch. The female constable was posted in the tourist police station of Prayagraj while the male constable was posted in the ACP Kotwali.
