Blood In UP Will Now Be Available To All Ill Patients At Govt Blood Banks

Lucknow, July 10 (TNA) Blood seekers of ill patients in Uttar Pradesh will now be able to take blood from any blood bank, an official said on Monday. Rules will apply to government blood banks for now and it will help in saving lives of serious patients, he added. Under the pilot project, in the first phase, this scheme will be valid for government blood centers.

People who voluntarily donate blood to save the lives of needy patients will be made available without donor blood in any hospital in the state if required. State Blood Transfusion Council has issued these instructions.

It has been said in the order that blood can now be obtained from any blood bank in UP. For this, the donor card has to be shown in the blood bank.

In the second phase, private and trust blood banks will be linked to the scheme. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak has appreciated the scheme. He said that this scheme will help in saving the lives of patients in need of blood. Under the pilot project, in the first phase, this scheme will be valid for government blood centers.
