Blast At Baby Toy Manufacturing Unit In Aligarh Kills Four, Neighbouring Houses Suffer Damage

ALIGARH || Four people, including a owner of a baby toy manufacturing unit, were killed and four injured in a massive explosion at a Toy making factory at Mohalla Khatikan in Dehli Gate area of ​​Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district late on Tuesday, police said.

The injured have been admitted to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College. The explosion occurred due to a compressor burst, causing the entire factory unit to blow up. There were also cracks in the walls of the surrounding houses. The sound of the blast was heard from a kilometer away.

The factory where the explosion took place is 50-year-old. On Tuesday, like any other day, the workers were working in the factory besides the family members. A major blast occurred in the factory around evening. It was so massive that the factory's roof blew away.

The brick pieces bounced and reached the surrounding houses, which also broke the glass panes at many neighbouring houses. A probe has been ordered by the district authorities.
