Ayodhya Case: Allahabad HC Orders Conversion Of Revision Petition As Criminal Appeal

Lucknow, July 19 (TNA) The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court (HC) has ordered to convert the revision petition challenging the judgment of the Sessions Court in the Ayodhya disputed structure demolition case as a criminal appeal. The court gave this order on the request of the lawyers of those who filed the surveillance petition.

The petition challenged the sessions court's decision to acquit the accused in the case. A request was also made to convict all 32 people including Murli Manohar Joshi, Kalyan Singh, Uma Bharti. A single bench of Justice Dinesh Kumar Singh gave this order on a petition filed by Haji Mehboob Ahmed and Syed Akhlaq Ahmed, residents of Ayodhya.
