Atique Ahmed’s Close Friend, Jailed Nafees Biryani Dies Of ‘Heart Attack’

Prayagraj, December 18 (TNA) A close friend and associate of slain mafia don Atique Ahmed, Nafees Biryani, who was owner of Eat On Biryani, a restaurant in Civil Lines area of Prayagraj, has died during treatment at Swarooprani Nehru Hospital.

It is said that Nafees Biryani, who was lodged in Naini Central Jail, had difficulty in breathing and suffered a heart attack on Sunday evening, after which the jail administration admitted him to the government hospital Swarooprani Nehru Hospital, but he died during treatment.

It was rumoured that Nafees Biryani had linkages to the infamous Umesh Pal murder case that took place in Prayagraj on February 24. Nafees was also very close to Atique's brother Ashraf. He owned the Creta car used as the get away vehicle by assassins in the Umesh Pal murder case. nA reward of Rs 50 thousand was announced on Nafees, who was absconding after the Umesh Pal murder case.

He was brought to the hospital after he was shot in the leg in a police encounter near Nawabganj in Ganganagar on November 22. After this, when his condition improved, he was lodged at the Naini Central Jail on December 9.

It is said that Nafees had taken the biryani business forward by investing Ashraf's black money. Under the guise of business, he used to convert the mafia's black money into white and was the financier of the Atiq gang.
