As Schools Reopen For All Classes On Wednesday, Petition In Allahabad HC Against The Decision

Prayagraj, August 31 (TNA) As classes between 1 and 12 reopen from Wednesday across the state, notwithstanding warnings by scientists and some sections of the medical fraternity that this was not completely safe, a petition has been filed in the Allahabad High Court (HC) demanding demanding closure of schools.

The petitioner's advocate Gaurav Dwivedi said that the order to open the school for classes one to eight issued on August 18 has also been sought to be quashed.

After the second wave of Coronavirus epidemic subsided in Uttar Pradesh, schools from class 6th to 12th have been opened. At the same time, from September 1, the state government is going to open schools from class one to six. The petitioner has also sighted the probability of the third wave of the corona pandemic in the coming month of October.

In the petition, a demand has been made to open the schools in the online mode in the session 2021-22. Information has also been sought about the arrangements made for separate medical arrangements for children across the state.
