As Heavy Rains Lash UP, Yogi Orders Closure Of All Schools-Colleges For The Next Two Days

Lucknow, Sep 16 (TNA) Following very heavy rains in most parts of the state on Thursday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered closure of all schools and colleges for the next two days. All other higher educational institutes will also remain closed on Friday and Saturday.

The chief minister also directed all divisional commissioners and district magistrates to ensure immediate help to people hit by water logging and other rain-related problems. Officials have been also asked to hit the road and assess the ground situation.

He also asked officials to ensure that water accumulation is prevented and in places where water logging has been reported, water is pumped out at the earliest. The chief minister has also urged people to take abundant precautions in wake of the very heavy rains that continue to lash the state.

The weatherman has predicted more rains in the next 48-hours and a red alert for very heavy rains has already been sounded.
