As DGP HC Awasthi Retires, Yogi Compliments Him For An Inning Well Played

Lucknow, June 30 (TNA) Outgoing Director-General of Police HC Awasthi who retired on Wednesday after completing 36 years in service was lauded by chief minister Yogi Adityanath for his illustrious career.

The saffron-robed chief minister said the top cop had served the country and the state as a good leader and a proactive officer.

"In the midst of the horrors of Covid, you have discharged the important responsibility of the Chief of Uttar Pradesh Police. The humanitarian side of the police affected the entire country during this period. Your role as an important member of Team-09 formed for Covid management was also commendable. All the members of Team-09 I wish you all the best for the new innings of life" the chief minister further said.
