Army Soldier Among Five Killed in Car-Truck Collision On Bahraich-Lucknow Highway
Bahraich, February 11 (TNA) A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning on the Bahraich-Lucknow Highway when a car collided with a truck, killing five people, including an army personnel. According to Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Ramanand Prasad Kushwaha, the accident took place around 7:30 AM.
The deceased soldier has been identified as 28-year-old Abrar Ahmed, who was traveling to Lucknow with his family for his young daughter’s medical treatment. The accident claimed the lives of Abrar’s father, Ghulam Hazrat (60); his mother, Fatima Begum (56); his daughter, Haniya; and the car driver, Chand Mohammad (35).
Abrar’s wife, Ruqaiya (25), was critically injured and has been referred to Bahraich District Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation to apprehend him.
The fatal collision occurred when the soldier’s car crashed into an oncoming dumper truck. The impact was severe, leading to the immediate deaths of all five passengers in the car.
