Arms Supplier Wounded In Police Encounter In Azamgarh

Azamgarh, March 29 (TNA) A criminal sustained bullet injuries when he was trying to flee during an encounter with the Azamgarh Police on Tuesday. According to information, the criminal is a notorious arms supplier who used to supply weapons in the area.

Abu Sahma, fired on a police team and tried to escape, when police opened fire and he was hit in the leg. The police encounter took place near Gahukhor crematorium in Saraymeer area. Superintendent of Police (SP) Anurag Arya informed that the criminal used to supply arms to youths of the area.

Police has recovered an illegal pistol, cartridges, shells and a bike from the criminal. He has been admitted to a medical facility where his condition is out of danger.
