Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee Moves Allahabad HC Against Permission Of Prayers At Gyanvapi Mosque Cellar

Prayagraj, February 1 (TNA) The Anjuman Intezamia Masajid Committee (AIMC) on Thursday knocked the doors of the Allahabad High Court (HC) challenging the Varanasi District Court's Wednesday order which allowed Hindus to perform prayers in the southern cellar of the Gyanvapi mosque.

Following the order of the district court, the Vyas family started prayers at the cellar on Thursday morning. AIMC, which looks after and manages the Gyanvapi Mosque complex, has called for an urgent hearing on the matter which was mentioned before the Acting Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta by senior advocate SFA Naqvi.

The ACJ asked him to move an urgent listing plea before the Registrar Listing after which an application was moved. The Hindu side has also filed a caveat on the matter, seeking that it be heard on the matter as well, lawyer Prabhash Pandey informed.
