Aligarh, April 7 (TNA) An assistance professor of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has been suspended with immediate effect and a probe ordered after he was charged with writing objectionable things on Hindu deities in a presentation made on the issue of rape.

There was an uproar when the pictures of the slide surfaced on social media. The Assistant Professor of Faculty of Forensic Medicine, a statement from the VC’s office, informed, has been immediately suspended and a probe has also been ordered.

The accused professor Jitendra Kumar however had apologised for his conduct while making “certain derogatory references” on rape in his class (MBBS IIIrd year, 2019 batch). He had also pleaded that in future he will not repeat such a mistake.
