AMU Appoints IPS Officer Mohd Imran As New Registrar

Aligarh, August 17 (TNA) Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) has appointed Indian Police Service (IPS) Officer, Mohammad Imran as the new Registrar on deputation basis for a period of two years with effect from the joining date in the university.

Imran, an IPS Officer of 2011 batch, is presently posted as the Superintendent of Police (SP) Railways, Jhansi. He has also served on various other posts in the Police Department including in the DGP, UP.

He has completed over 11 years in the police service with substantial experience at the Command level in the police organisation after his recruitment as an IPS officer. Imran’s Service Decorations include DGs Commendation Disc Silver (2018) and DGs Commendation Disc Silver (2019).

He is quite well versed in interpersonal management and in developing capabilities and resources.

Imran has done Master of International Business-MIB and B A (Honours) in English Literature.
